A new year... A new beginning

Well the new year has begun in high gear! It's already middle of January and I have no idea where the time has gone. I swear my days are getting shorter.... Is that possible? Somehow I have the same things to do on a daily basis and everyday it gets harder and harder to get all of it done. Maybe I'm just busier than I've ever been before. With a now 4 year old who never stops going and a 7 month old who is also becoming mobile, the majority of my days are spent saying "no", putting Jace back where I put him to begin with, going up and down, up and down, up and down the stairs getting Hank this and that and letting the dog in and out, in and out, in and out. I swear I walk around in circles, doing the same thing EVERYDAY.... but I love it! I love every minute I have with my kiddos and family. It maybe be a routine or the same thing over and over, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Somewhere in the middle of everything, my little guy turned four and my baby is now 7 months old, trying to crawl, sitting up and becoming more and more like his brother. SCARY! haha. It's amazing how fast they grow up and how much they can change from day to day. It's so fun to watch, but so sad at the same time. There are days I want them to stay little forever.... and others I can't wait for them go to college. (kidding!) Regardless, I am so thankful for my boys and the family Shay and I have made. We are so fortunate and blessed to have all that we do and I couldn't be happier to have it.

This year is going to be a good year. For me, for my husband and his business, our boys and our friends and families. I can just feel it. I'm going to make sure it's a good year. I set resolutions (as I do every year) but this time I'm committed to keeping them. I will work out. I will lose weight. I will get more organized. But mostly, I will be positive and see the good instead of the bad everyday. I will cherish my family a little more everyday. I will be better to myself and take care of myself, if not for my own benefit, for my children. I will be open to learning new things and new ways of doing things. I will find more time to relax and just enjoy life. I will not complain as much and try to remember that God is in control and He will do what is best, no matter what I do or try to make happen. I will above anything else, be happy and joyful in this life I live and thank the good Lord above for all He has given to me.

So here's to you all, my friends and family, I wish you all nothing but the best everyday. Here's to a new year.... a NEW beginning!
